Job Description:
The candidate will work alongside the existing IB team in Frankfurt as well as IB colleagues in China and globally. The individual will be part of CICC’s International Group and will spend time across Europe, but also in China to participate in firm-wide activities and support broader deal origination and execution.
The job duties associated with this role include but will not be limited to:
- Originate cross border M&A and capital markets transactions in Europe
- Prepare and deliver client presentations
- Oversee Junior Bankers, review and negotiate transaction documentation
- Develop client relationships in Europe
Skills and Abilities:
- Persuasive and polished written and oral communication skills, both in English and one other European language (preferably German, French, Spanish or Italian); Chinese language skills are not required but a plus
- Idealy, specialist and industry know-how in either Healthcare, Chemicals, Consumer/Retail or Financial Services
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Thorough knowledge of capital markets and M&A
- Committed and responsible, with a demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests
- Excellent interpersonal skills; team player
- Leadership and client management / networking skills
- High standards of professional and ethical conduct
- Passion and resilience for business development
- Hands-on approach, and willing to drive origination and lead transactions on a day-to-day basis
- Cultural sensitivity developed through international experience
Qualifications:
- Extensive blue-chip client coverage and transaction experience, especially in cross border transactions
- Good business acumen and proven track record in developing client relationships
- Extensive experience in identifying and developing new business opportunities with existing clients under coverage, while exploring new business opportunities with new clients
