THE ROLE


As an IT Support Specialist, you provide first- and second- level hardware and software support to users. You will install, configure and troubleshoot point-of-sale stations, as well as perform updates and maintenance.

The IT Support Specialist will conduct installations, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software, as well as conduct post-installation activities such as reviews, changes and maintenance of software. You will review hardware and software, recommending items for purchase. You will also ship and receive user systems for hands-on repairs. You will act as problem manager for new deployments of corporate applications, perform on-site reviews for remote systems, perform server backups and maintain the storage of backup media.

This is a hands-on role, working with a team, where you will exercise your knowledge and skills daily. If you are passionate about technology and want to be part of a team who is becoming the orchestrator of digital innovation, this is the opportunity for you.


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED


Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification

Experience

In maintaining and supporting the enterprise-wide software and telecommunications infrastructure

In systems analysis

In network, hardware and software management and support In help desk support In problem analysis and resolution

In application testing

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

OTHER INFORMATION


This position has an assigned location and may allow flexible work options such as remote or hybrid work, but the employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost if required. Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations

The selection process will be done virtually.

This position is a one-year term.
