Are you looking for a new professional challenge in which you can grow your skills and knowledge while making a difference for patients? Then join our passionate team as a Medical Science Liaison for Cardiorenal Metabolism.
In this position, you will contribute to increased awareness and better treatment by discussing the results of high-quality trials and building and maintaining trustworthy scientific and medical relations with Health Care Professionals (HPCs). In addition, you will be the face of Boehringer Ingelheim to high-level scientific professionals, engaging in discussions & idea exchange. Your ultimate goal is to ensure that all patients are treated optimally and with a focus on new scientific approaches.
You will support different teams (Medical team, Marketing, Field Force, Key Account Managers, Market Access, and more). Still, the essential interactions will occur with the national/regional scientific/medical community. In addition, you will interact with different scientific experts across the country, so you will have the opportunity to travel quite frequently.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Amsterdam, and reports directly to the local Medical Team Leader in the Netherlands. We offer a fixed term employment contract (one year) supported by an external agency.

FURTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as a scientific resource for health care professionals (HCPs) and the go-to person for detailed scientific information regarding medications and indications in your area of expertise.
  • Generate and communicate scientific data; deeply understand scientific and medical thinking, limitations, and opportunities.
  • Aid in the review of protocols, feasibility studies, investigator meetings, and training for clinical operations.
  • Support Internal Medical Teams, Field force, Key Account Managers, Marketing, and Market access.
  • Develop and maintain network and interact with HPCs and authorities.
  • Document insights from interactions with stakeholders and co-create actionable strategies.
  • Identify the need for registries, epidemiological studies, non-trial activities, and other medical/scientific projects.
  • Expect to spend around 70% of your time on external activities.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM:
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD) or equivalent.
  • Deep knowledge of the cardiology, nephrology, or metabolism field.
  • Fluency in Dutch (C1 level equivalence) and English languages.
  • You have a valid driving license.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • You are passionate about science and driven to make a positive impact on patient's lives.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
