Risk Internship Programme

Brief Overview:
The Enterprise Risk Management team is a second line of defense function within SGX and supports senior management and the units within the organization to manage the organization’s risks and to maintain business continuity.
Learning Objectives:
- The intern will be able to undertake risk management activities in a financial institution such as:
- Execution of risk and control programs within the organization
- Risk analysis, management, and reporting
- Business continuity management
Job Description:
- Assist with technology enhancement to the Governance, Risk and Compliance system (e.g., project management, system testing)
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., BCP Coordinators, consultants) to facilitate enhancements to the Enterprise Risk programme
- Assist with execution of enterprise risk programmes (e.g., business impact analysis, risk and control-self assessment)
- Conduct analysis of process and controls to identify gaps/areas for improvement and assist with process redesign
- Conduct research and analysis for risk-related matters (e.g., identification and assessment of emerging risks)
- Prepare reports to Senior Management and Board/Board Committees
Knowledge and Skills requirements:
- Able to work independently as well as collaborate with various stakeholders
- Capable of prioritising and multi-tasking in a dynamic environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft suite (including Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
