Job Summary:
The Cannabis Harvester is involved in numerous production activities and is responsible for the post processing of plant material once brought to maturity. This position assists in each step of the cultivation process; from initial room set up, to daily cultivation activities within each grow space, to the harvest, removal and clean-up of each grow area. The Harvester reports directly into the Cultivation team and works with other production staff on all aspects of cannabis production.

Essential Functions:
  • Harvests and Trims cannabis, which includes the breakdown and removal of flowers from the stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from useable product.
  • Separates and identifies fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower.
  • Accounts for unusable waste for each by-product type processed off the flower; tracks and classifies stems and fan leaves as waste.
  • Manicures and prepares harvested flower to be sold in designated medical dispensaries and cannabis retail locations.
  • Maintains quality standards and production goals.
  • Organizes and maintains a clean work environment and complies with all health and safety standards established by the State.
  • Participates in the room set-up and break-down and contributes to the clean-up of processing areas and equipment.
  • Implements basic growing principles including cloning, pruning, topping, and trimming, and mixing soils and growing mediums, transplanting, watering, pruning and physically moving plants.
  • Tracks and maintains cultivation data including room data, pest scouting, harvest reports and inventory processes.
  • Follows all IPM basics and proper application protocols.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
The Harvester position requires a H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. This position requires a minimum of 6 months experience working in an agricultural environment, which may include general landscaping, and/or knowledge of farming or cultivation practices (cannabis cultivation preferred). This is considered an entry-level position in the cannabis industry. The position requires a strong attention to detail, effective time-management skills and ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
