Phoenix Travel Management (Pvt) Ltd is looking to hire dedicated and committed individual for a position in the finance department with a mininum of Bachelors degree willing to give time and be committed to grow in the field of Travel & Tourism for the Position of Finance Executive for its Blue Area, Islamabad office. SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE:
Manage & supervise the functional and administrative duties and responsibilities of the accounts department. Functions as an advisor / consultant and keeps accurate business transactions in ledgers and ensures the team records them on financial statements monthly, quarterly and yearly. Lead and grow the team while controlling cost and improving productivity.
MAIN DUTIES:
1. Manages and supervises the functional & administrative duties & responsibilities of the Accounts department
2. Ensures compliance to accounting policies & procedures
3. On-time preparation and reporting of periodic & year-end Financial Statements.
4. Preparation of budgets in close liaison with divisional managers and GM
5. Management Reporting (MIS)
6. Asset, cash, accounts receivable management
7. Staff payroll administration
8. Co-ordination with division heads and senior management
9. Maintains involvement in each aspect where the intervention of finance is needed
10. Maintains banking relationship (Bank Facilities, Guarantees, POS transactions, etc.…)
11. Coordination with auditors and making sure to achieve proper and on-time reporting of reviewed and audited financials.
12. Compliance to legal requirements (e.g., Commercial Registrations, Civil Aviation, Municipal License, etc.…)
13. Maintains good relationship with customers, suppliers and other business partners and ensures all issues are being attended properly
14. Monitor airline and suppliers’ incentive, fixed assets, prepayments
15. Responsible for BSP reconciliation and timely process
16. Monitors general invoicing, credit limits of customers, refunds, delivery of invoices timely, AR, petty cash custodian
17. Abide by Company Policy and Procedure.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Relevant Field.
Education:
(Minimum requirement’s): University graduate in accounting & finance business discipline
MBA finance / M-COM will be an advantage
Essential Skills:
Must have the knowledge of Travel Industry Accounting Systems e.g Cataylst.
Good knowledge travel industry finance & accounts procedures
Good customer service skills
Problem solving skills
Team spirit, Planning, organizing, communication, forecasting, budgeting, Implementation, controlling, analytical, supplier relationship, delegation, reporting, computer savvy, legal formalities, supplier negotiation
Travel agency front, mid & back office systems
Understanding of IT tools and process
Technical Competencies:
Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook etc...)
Fair knowledge of world geography
Languages:
English fluent (Written and oral)
Arabic & other international languages would be an advantage
Special working conditions:
Required to be flexible concerning working hours as role may require work outside normal business hours and shifts
