Strategically located on the Liverpool Plains of NSW, 1 hour west of Tamworth, JBS Australia’s Caroona Feedlot employs approximately 35 people and includes a dryland and irrigation farming operation. With a licensed capacity of 28,000 head, access to an extensive network of quality cattle and ideally placed between the Riverina & Beef City plants, makes it a vital asset in the supply of grain fed cattle for both the JBS Queensland and New South Wales based processing facilities.
The farm supplies the grain, silage and hay required for the cattle in the feedlot.

About the Role
We are currently looking for a motivated, efficient and reliable individual to join our feeding team on a full-time basis. The purpose of this position is to assist in the daily delivery of feed, maintain bunk hygiene and commodity handling. The ability and willingness to learn, operating machinery and data input are integral parts of this position.
- Timely loading, mixing and delivery of feed.
- Data input and maintenance
- Daily pre-operational checks of associated vehicles
- Maintain and service equipment.
- General hygiene duties (shovelling/sweeping/washing)
- Additional Mill duties as required.

- Experience operating machinery
- A mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Time management skills
- High attention to detail
- Experience working within a team.
The Mill Hand position works an 8 day on, 6 days off rotating roster. It is paid under level 4 of the Pastoral Award with penalty rates on weekends and public holidays.
