Job Title: Operations and Permit Technician
Location: Raleigh, NC or North Carolina

Salary: Commensurate with experience ($45,000-$65,000)
Job Description:
A leading tower developer and owner with over 25 years of experience are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations and Permit Technician to join our team in the Raleigh/Durham area. This position will assist with a vast set of duties including but not limited to zoning applications, building permits, required DOT or stormwater permits, gathering documents for issuing notice to proceed for contractors and tenants, coordinating maintenance requests with vendors/landlords, and other tasks related to permitting milestones, construction and/or maintenance concerns. The position will report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze permit and zoning requirements
- E911 Address coordinating
- Permit and Notice to Proceed (NTP) preparation
- Assist Director of Operations and outside counsel with zoning applications and preparation for building permits and related documents
- Initiate utility coordination for new construction projects
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other parties involved in the construction and maintenance issues.
- Tracking of A&E deliverables
- Assist with close out packages from construction vendors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records
- Utilize project management software to update dates, notes, documents, and other important details
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of permitting processes or the telecommunication industry is a plus but not required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities by focusing on one task while keeping track of others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to learn and manage varying project management systems both internally and externally.
- Must be willing to do limited travel within North Carolina and South Carolina as required.
- A hybrid work model is available with 2-3 days required in the office and a flexible work schedule.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday office hours.
