Due to security and information access restriction, the role is only open to a sole BRITISH national.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.
Job description
As a Project Support Officer, you will support and assist with a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the project’s objectives. This means enabling the smooth running of the project by supporting the project manager through the operation of project management processes, and the co-ordination of business management actions and activities on their behalf.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and scheduling – Assist with and maintain appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling
- Monitoring and reporting – Assist in maintaining project controls and in producing project reports
- Benefits – Assist with and maintain appropriate tool and monitor as appropriate
- Risks, issues, Assumptions, and dependencies – Assist with and maintain risk, issue and dependency logs, escalating as appropriate
- Stakeholder Engagement – Assist with maintaining the stakeholder log for internal and external stakeholders. Act as the focal point for project responses to external requests for information
- Resourcing – Assist with and maintain with resourcing requirements to enable effective control and understanding in producing reports and requests
- Admin – Responsible for project file management using robust version control. Organise key project meetings providing secretariat support
- Provide support to Business Management Team.
Person specification
The role will suit individual who wants to learn and grow in the Project Delivery and Digital domain.
Candidates will either hold the APM Project Fundamentals qualification or be willing to complete this qualification within the first twelve months after joining as part of their personal development plan. If the qualification is already held, candidates will be expected to provide documentary evidence of achievement if called forward for interview. Equivalent qualifications will be considered. Please detail in your supporting statement what equivalent qualifications you hold. Please note all qualifications need to be in date.
