We are currently looking for 2 Test Specialists to join our R&D Test team. As our new Test Specialist you will support the process of bringing life to tomorrow’s solutions for the coatings industry in our brand-new laboratories in Kgs. Lyngby.
What You Can Look Forward To In This Role

Coordinate and perform testing projects on coatings in close collaboration with the team and internal requesters. Continuously manage key stakeholders for multiple projects run in parallel, and ensuring proper archiving and traceability of result data.
Maintain and improve work processes and safety in our office, in the laboratory, as well as in workshops. We expect you to challenge and improve our way of working, within the team and the organization
Work in the testing center of a transforming company and help set the course for the future for Hempel worldwide.
Your Tasks Will Include
- Coordinating with key stakeholders in sales, marketing and R&D to define testing needs
- Performance testing cured coating products
- Reporting, dissemination and archiving results
- Maintaining laboratory safety and standards
- Contributing to the teams continuous improvement process
You will be joining a dedicated team and will be based in Hempel’s headquarter in the Copenhagen area.
What does it take to become a Test Specialist?
Education as laboratory technician, process technician or equivalent studies is an advantage. Experience with Six sigma process development and working in a coating laboratory, though this is not a requirement.
You possess strong hands-on and quality-orientation in the laboratory, and have the ability to plan and organize your tasks independently. You have effective communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
