We're searching for a Web Editor to join the all-new department – The Content Factory. WHO YOU ARE

If you are having a passionate interest for digital media, constantly want to learn and thrive in the unknown and if you are energized by working both independently and interdependently with creative networks and cross functions – Then this role as Web Editor might be the right position for you!

For this role, we believe you have good knowledge of experience design principles as well as knowledge about IKEA communication principles. Further, you have a good understanding of variety of web tools and a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
You have good communication skills and you are a responsible team player who also can work independently. Further, you are able to multitask, prioritize work schedules and work under high pressure, especially during tight deadlines. You have a strong eye (visual sense) for design and design principles and you are able to follow design guidelines.

Furthermore, what you need to have to succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor degree in graphical design or equivalent
  • Previous working experience as a Web Editor
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent in written and spoken English
  • Proven knowledge of Adobe Design Suit
  • Basic understanding of web development
  • Preferred: knowledge of IKEA brand, our Tone of Voice, culture, and values

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US

When working as a Web Editor you are responsible for researching, planning, writing, and editing high quality web content within given frames in the IKEA Content Management System (CMS) in order to appeal to the relevant audience.

Some of your main responsibilities include:
  • Layout of web pages based on the IKEA design system
  • Edit and publish content, including texts, images (compressing/ optimising for web), graphics, and multimedia content using IKEA provided CMS systems
  • Act as the expert of the possibilities and limitations in IKEA CMS systems
  • Follow-up on content implementation and performance, using tools like Google Analytics
  • Follow-up on OKRs and web-specific KPIs
  • Perform technical content quality check on content
  • Support Ingka with content related issues in the production tools
  • Coordinate and plan web deliverables, co-authoring, and collating documentation of content updates
  • Report and track issues and change requests in order to improve production tools for content editing more efficient for web publishing

This role is a permanent position and will be located in Malmö, Sweden.
