- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 7+ years of software QA testing experience with black and grey box functional testing
- Experience on embedded system and Android OS.
The Role:
In this role, you will:
- Create test plans and test cases for our Fire TV product line
- Write test scripts and develop automation scripts across all functional areas
- Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
- Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented
- Leading and response for key feature’s quality
The potential candidate must be very familiar to uses technical expertise to create test plans and design test solutions for complex scenarios. Manages the lifecycle of team test automation. Learning to force multiply. Escalates effectively. Able to find a path forward in difficult situations. Makes trade-offs between short-term needs vs. long-term needs.
A day in the life
The QAE will work closely with SW developer, SOC provider, PM and other teams within Amazon, on the test strategy definition, project test execution, and use of automation development tools to accelerate the product delivery with high quality
About the team
Platform QA team is leading Platform software quality service across products, covering HALs, Kernel, Security, Drivers, including VTS (Vendor Test Suite), storage qualification, Peripherals, Display, Picture Quality, STF, Charging and etc with Platform Stability and Platform Performance quality gating.

- Experience preparing quality metrics and effectively engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality goals
- Experience transforming QA programs from manual to automation
