Job summary
- Manage regional project Cost Control and Planning & Scheduling.
Cost Control
- Work closely with Development and Procurement to assist in the development of initial project cost estimates and timelines
- Provide financial projections and forecasts and participate in the preparation of monthly progress reports.
- Review third party invoices and recommend for approval for payment. Participate in the closing out of the contracts, including preparation of Final Payment and SFA.
- Monitor project costs versus budget and report deviations.
- Prepare budget and cash flow forecasts for procurement packages in coordination with Contracts Manager and Design Manager.
- Reconcile approved invoices with Finance records periodically.
- Monitor trends and potential changes and forecast their potential impact on project cost and schedule.
- Participate in claims review and analysis as directed by Contracts Manager and recommend for approval/rejection with reasons.
- Review Change Requests, Variation orders and make recommendations.
- Participate in project commercial meetings, including claims and variation order review meeting.
- Monitor, assess, and report the performance of the Project management consultant commercial staff.
- Review of Tender Document and assist in preparation of password protect BOQ.
- Coordinate with the Consultant to prepare Company Cost Estimate (CCE).
- Implement Controls policies & procedures.
Planning & Scheduling
- Maintain & Update Master Program
- Preparation, Enhancement & Update the Management Reports
- the Management Reports Interface management between construction packages and other external stakeholders
- Manage the Consultants & PMCM's. Validate their recommendations on Programme’s, EQT & Planning Reports
- Co-ordinate between all functional departments. Provide Planning support to all related departments to ensure consistent planning service/performance
- Standardization of Planning Procedures & Reports
Data and Reporting
- Maintain and update Cost and Planning data.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Preparation, Enhancement & Update the Management Reports
Business capabilities
- 12+ years of experience in Project Management of construction projects including Cost control, Quantity surveying, and Planning & Scheduling.
- Experience in managing third party contractors in the execution of projects in region.
- Experienced in preparing comprehensive cost-related reports.
- Advanced skills in Commercial management and Contract practices.
- Familiar with international standards used in the regional project.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Project Management Certification (PMP or PSP) preferred.
- Master’s degree is a plus.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting skills.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of management processes, tools and techniques.
- Leadership skills and abilities needed to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments.
- Proficiency in planning software Primavera P 6 or later versions
- Analytical ability to review and validate recommendations from PMCM.
- Ability to coordinate and administer Programs/Projects proactively in consultation with all functional departments.
